Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: 30640 Friendship Rd., Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday, August 20^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Friendship Road.  It was reported to be a single vehicle into the woods.  Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response units from Indian River were cancelled while responding to the incident.

It appears that a blue compact car was traveling on Friendship Road and left the roadway for an unknown reason running into the woods.  One person was transported to nearby medical facilities for additional observation. 

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
