Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 35567 Peregrine Rd., Hawkseye, Lewes, DE 19958

On Wednesday evening, August 18^th, the Indian River (80), Milton (85), and Rehoboth Beach (86) fire departments were alerted to assist Lewes (82) Fire Department with a reported working structure fire on Peregrine Road in the Hawkseye development off Gills Neck Road.  It was reported to be vehicle fire in the garage that spread to the residential structure as well.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included assistance with fire suppression activities, hitting the hydrant and laying a 5” large diameter water supply line for the incident, resources to the manpower pool pending assignments, assistance with salvage and recovery, and incident clean up and apparatus packing duties.

There were no reported firefighter or civilian injuries.
