Nature: Commercial Structure Fire

Address:  26396 Bay Farm Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday evening, July 13^th, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82), and Millsboro (83) fire companies were alerted for a commercial structure fire at the laundromat on Bay Farm Road.  It was reported to be a fire involving a wash machine.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 and Chief 80-15 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-1 and #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.   Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response crew assignments in evaluation and investigation into the cause of the incident.  Other responding units from cancelled while enroute to the incident location.

It appears that an appliance (washer) caught fire and was quickly extinguished before arrival of emergency response apparatus.

All units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
