Nature: Apparatus Display - Tower 80 & Marine Unit

On Saturday evening, June 26th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was requested to display its new Pierce 100' Ascendant Arrow XT Mid-Mount Aerial Truck as well as one of its marine units.

The designated units were Indian River’s new aerial truck known as Tower 80 http://irvfc.com/apparatus/detail/42364, the marine unit known as 80 Marine 1 http://irvfc.com/apparatus/detail/4634, which is pulled by Utility 80-8 http://irvfc.com/apparatus/detail/4639. 

Tower 80 was set-up in the main parking in front of the registration center and offered a demonstration to the campground residents that stopped to observe the aerial unit.  Dialogue and discussions were coordinated by Chief and members of the Truck Committee that attended.

80 Marine 1 was on display at the same area before departing to offer a visual demonstration from the local waterways known as Roman Pond off Massey’s Ditch.

Ironically, some the attendees saw the marine units as they were launching for an earlier water rescue incident http://irvfc.com/gallery/detail/42725 in the Indian River Bay and a citizen assist incident http://irvfc.com/gallery/detail?id=42740 in Massey's Ditch prior to the designated display and demonstration.

Indian River is thankful to the patrons that offered donations and acquired t-shirts from the fire company..
