Nature: Structure Fire

Location: Same As Last Night

Address: 26446 - 26659 John J Will Millsboro, DE 19966

On Sunday evening, November 10th, the Indian River (80) and Millsboro (83) fire companies were alerted for a structure fire on John J. Williams Highway in the same location as the incident last evening. It was reported to be a structure fire in an abandoned residential structure with heavy fire showing through the roof of the structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included: Engine #80-1, Rescue 80, Engine #80-2, Brush #80-00, Incident Command 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3, Engine #80-5 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response assignments included to establish an aggressive fire suppression attack, to protect nearby exposure concerns, and to fully mitigate the situation.

Engine #80-1 was assigned to implement the fire suppression attack with other responding apparatus to provide manpower resources as well as water resources for the incident.

This incident as well as the earlier afternoon episode and the previous evening episode are of suspicious origin and the Delaware State Fire Marshall’s Office was requested to continue their ongoing criminal investigation.

The Delaware State Fire Marshall was again present on the incident location.
