Saturday September, 14 2013 Nature: Delaware Volunteer Firefighters Association (DVFA) 19th Annual Conference & 93rd Annual Parade Address: Kent County – Dover, DE On Saturday, September 14th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and many other fire companies within the State of Delaware and surrounding areas participated in the capstone of the 93rd Annual Delaware Volunteer Firefighters Association’s Parade. This event was held in Dover. Indian River entered the following emergency response units into the parade for judging: • 80 Marine 1 - http://www.irvfc.com/apparatus.cfm?a=27 o Awarded Best Appearing Marine Rescue Vessel • Utility 80-08 (not judged utilized to pull marine unit) - http://www.irvfc.com/apparatus.cfm?a=32 • Retired Engine #80-3 - http://www.irvfc.com/apparatus.cfm?a=6 o Awarded 3rd Place Best Appearing Pumper 1959 to 1984 • New Engine #80-3 – http://www.irvfc.com/apparatus.cfm?a=17 and http://www.irvfc.com/apparatus.cfm?a=24 • Polaris 80 - http://www.irvfc.com/apparatus.cfm?a=28 Illustrated herewith are various photographs of the event.
