Sunday, August, 4 2013 @ 9:30 Nature: Water Rescue – Dive Team Training Location: Indian River Bay Address: South Side Indian River Bay – near Bay Colony On Sunday, August 4th, Indian River’s 80 Marine 1 assisted the Millville Fire Company (84) with a water rescue dive team training exercise in the Indian River Bay off of Bay Colony. The exercise was intended to get acquainted with the Indian River’s Marine Unit as well as experiment and train with new underwater dive team communication devices for Millville. Divers were teethered off and performed various training execises while becoming acclimated with the new diving equipment. Their spefic assignments were to perform various sweeping searching patterns in order to search and locate specific objects with near zero visibility within the water conditions.
