Nature: Gas Leak

Address: 108 Teal Dr., Creeks End, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Sunday, June 16th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a gas leak at a residential location on Teal Drive in the Creeks End development off of Long Neck Road.

Emergency response units included Engine #80-1, Rescue 80, and Chief 80-15 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-5 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included to evaluate and monitor the propane gas leak as well as identifying the source. It was determined to be an active leak from a residential underground propane tank.

The corrective action involved shutting off of the tanks and awaiting the propane service repairman in order to fully mitigate the issue.
