Nana’s Kids Donates to Long Neck Elementary School’s Playground Initiative
On Wednesday, November 27th, the Nana’s Kids Campaign, a charitable fundraising program of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company in of honor Dorothy Gudger, (also known as Nana), presented the Long Neck Elementary School with a check for $8,000 towards their new playground equipment initiative.
Members of the Gudger family, together with representatives of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company, and the Boys & Girls Club of Oak Orchard-Riverdale presented the Board of Education Vice President Leolga Wright, Principal Clara Conn, and Assistant Principal Stephen Lovellette of the Long Neck Elementary School with the contribution.
This contribution plus prior contributions for the playground equipment initiative brings the cumulative funds raised to approximately $72,245 of their intended goal of $100,000.
