Nature: Brush Fire

On Saturday March 9th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a brush fire on Bay Blvd. in the Rehoboth Shores development off of Long Neck Road.

Emergency response units included: Brush #80-0 and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as Brush #80-00 and Engine #80-2 from the Oak Orchard facility. 

Emergency response assignments were to mitigate the situation that was largely extinguished by nearby residential tenants to the incident.

Brush #80-00 was requested to the scene to saturate the entire area of concern. All other responding emergency units were returned to quarters.

The Delaware State Fire Marshall was notified of the questionable origin of the incident.
