Nature: Vehicle Fire

On Wednesday afternoon of February 27th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle fire in the parking lot of Giant Foods off of John J. Williams Highway.

It appears that the fire may have been located within the dashboard – engine compartment of the vehicle.

Emergency response units included Engine #80-1 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response personnel were assigned to mitigate the incident and identify the source of the issue.

The Delaware State Fire Police also provided assistance at the location.
