Sunday January, 20 2013 @ 00:53:33 Nature: Vehicle Accident BLS Address: 27421 John J Williams Hwy Millsboro, DE 19966 Early Sunday morning, January 20th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a personal injury vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway between Streets Road and Gull Point Road. Emergency response units from Indian River included Ladder 80 and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility. The Indian River fire district was covered by firefighter personnel from Wilmington Manor that was providing a pre-arranged standby for the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. It appears that a Volkswagen sedan traveling west on John J. Williams Highway and did not adequately navigate the sharp curves near Gull Point Road. The vehicle traveled off the north side of the roadway and overturned. The occupant was evaluated by the local emergency service provider and declined additional medical services. The Delaware State Police are investigating.
