Nature: Sussex County Fire Chiefs Assn. & Sussex County Firefighters Assn. – Legislative Breakfast

Location: Indian River – Oak Orchard Station One

On Saturday, December 15th, the Presidents of the Sussex County Fire Chiefs Assn. & Sussex County Firefighters Assn. asked the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company to host and coordinate a premier legislative breakfast for our current and newly elected Delaware State Senators and House of Representatives from Sussex County.

Each presiding association officer appointed two representatives to participate with the organizational activities for this event. Sussex County Fire Chiefs Association President Penuel Barrett appointed Michael Briggs, William Buckaloo, Terry Jester and Patrick Miller while the Sussex County Firefighters Association President Todd Reilly appointed Gerald Strother and William Tobin.

These gentlemen conferenced and developed an operational plan which included the following:

•  Meet & Greet the Fire Company Presidents, Fire Chiefs, and elected officials forum;

•  Breakfast hosted by Indian River;

•  Brief introduction ceremony from each official and each company;

•  Questions, Answers & Discussion; and

•  Operational / Informational Powerpoint regarding fire service.

Illustrated herewith various photographs of the events activities…

Our organizations would like to acknowledge the patronage and support of the elected officials.
