Nature: Community Day in Oak Orchard

On Saturday, September 8th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company assisted the Community Church of Oak Orchard with its Annual Community Day Event in Oak Orchard.

This milestone is to recognize the end of the summer season by hosting various commercial and entrepreneurial entities to celebrate a “great season” and to reminisce the past year and seasons.

The event is a conglomeration of arts, crafts, vendors, old cars, friends, neighbors, recreational and entertainment activities with an overall evening capstone with religious services under the BIG TENT.

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company provided fire prevention activities, fire truck rides, aerial ladder display, fire company awareness activities, and any needed fire company activities associated with the event.  Other emergency service providers included the Sussex County Paramedics and the local emergency medical serivces "EMS" provider.
