Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Long Neck Road near Church Lane

On Sunday evening, August 26th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was notified to respond to area Church Lane off of Long Neck Road for a vehicle accident. It was reported to be a car into a tree.

Emergency response units included: Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility.

This incident involved a blue Dodge Durango traveling south on Long Neck Road and off the roadway for an unknown reason striking a cluster or trees. The vehicle occupant refused any medical attention upon the supervision of parental control.

Indian River assisted with fluid recovery and monitored the condition of the tree.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted the Delaware State Police with traffic control.
