Monday July, 16 2012 @ 14:11:43 Nature: Appliance Fire Address: 34530 Broad Water Rd Millsboro, DE 19966 On Monday, July 16th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an appliance fire on Broad Water Road in the Pot Nets Bayside development off of Long Neck Road. Emergency response units from Indian River included: Engine #80-1 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility. The Incident Command functionalities were coordinated via Ryan Mock, First Assistant Chief who was working in the area and responded directly to the incident location. Emergency response crews were assigned to evaluate and further investigate the clothes dryer that was smoking at the time of the concern and to check for potential extensions to the residential structure. After review, the incident was placed under control and concerns shared with the property owner.
