Heat Advisory In Effect

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Saturday, June 30th.

Heat Advisory - Extreme heat index making it feel hot, typically between 105 and 110 °F (41 and 43 °C) for up to 3 hours during the day and at or above 80 °F (27 °C) at night for two consecutive nights. Specific criteria varies over different county warning areas.

Heat Advisory in effect today from 11 AM to 8 PM

The National Weather Service will be issuing another Heat Advisory for today.

Temperatures in some areas, especially inland, will take a run at the triple digits this afternoon. Those temperatures, along with the high humidity, will create heat indices between 100 and 105 degrees.

The very young, the very elderly and those with medical conditions that require them to be in a cool environment will be the most affected by the heat. People are being urged to drink plenty of fluids and stay out of the sun as much as possible during the hottest part of the day.

Today’s heat advisory will be in effect from 11 am to 8 pm.
