Saturday June, 9 2012 Nature: Indian River Training Detail On Saturday, June 9th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company coordinated and provided numerous membership training opportunities which included: apparatus driver training, apparatus pump operations, large diameter hose (LDH) maneuvering, vessel & marine operations, etc. These training tasks were specifically targeted with (1) Tanker 80 apparatus driver training, pump and hydrant operations as well as LDH utilization techniques; (2) Utility Truck Operations 80-8 with apparatus driver training and preparation of vessel launching techniques; and (2) Marine Units: 80 Marine 1; and 80 Marine 2 with electronic and navigational aid, launching vessels, accessing and exiting marina slips, pump operations and general waterway navigational methods. These training tasks were land based as well as marine based operations.
