Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: 30874-32113 Holly Lake Rd., Millsboro, DE 19966

On Saturday afternoon, October 19, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Holly Lake Road.  It was reported to be a single vehicle accident involving a tree.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police and the local emergency medical services provider.

Emergency response crew assignments included traffic control, vehicle stabilization as well as fluid and debris recovery.

It appears that a black Jeep SUV was traveling on Holly Lake Road and left the roadway for an unknown reason striking a tree and causing significant damage to the vehicle.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
