Nature: Structure Fire

On Tuesday, January 3rd, the Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, and Indian River volunteer fire companies were alerted for a structure fire on Rehoboth Avenue in Rehoboth Beach.

Emergency response units were dispatched to a structure fire which was determined to be in the alley behind the Rehoboth Variety Shop. It was reported that a small child resided inside an apartment above the store location.

Emergency personnel, on scene, were able to confirm that the apartment occupants were out of the apartment safely with the specific child.

The incident was quickly extinguished with the scene being placed under control, and emergency response units were cancelled and permitted to return to service.
