Thursday December, 29 2011 @ 05:52:51 Nature: Vehicle Accident ALS Address: 33144 - 33147 Green Road, Millsboro, DE 19966 On Thursday morning, December 29th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a personal injury vehicle accident on Green Road off of Banks Road. The incident synopsis included a single vehicle roll over and unknown information regarding the vehicle’s occupants. Chief Steven Deery responded as the incident commander and identified that the vehicle ran off of the sharp curves on Green Road striking some street signs, mailboxes before overturning in the adjacent field. The occupants of the vehicle have departed the incident location at the time of emergency response arrival. Emergency response units included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-5 from the Long Neck facility. Incident responders were assigned to assist with vehicle stabilization, if needed and to perform a preliminary search pattern looking for the vehicle’s occupant. The Delaware State Police are investigating.
