Friday November, 18 2011 @ 23:27:39 Nature: Structure Fire Address: 25500 - 25616 Crab Aly E Millsboro, DE 19966 On Friday evening, November 18th, the Indian River, Lewes and Millsboro fire companies were alerted for a structure fire on Crab Aly East in the Pot Nets Creekside development off of Long Neck Road. It was reported to have a heater malfunction with visible flames being emitted from the residential heating device. Engine #80-3 and #80-5 responded from the Long Neck Station while Engine #80-1 responded from the Oak Orchard facility. Apparatus Officer – Jason M. Faulkner, Sr. coordinated oversight of the incident and identified the malfunctioning heater device and downgraded the incident response to a single company dispatch as well as requesting the assistance of the State Fire Marshal. Ventilation of the interior residential structure was completed via positive pressure fans. The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
