Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 32582 Woods Ct Harbeson, DE 19951

On Wednesday evening, July 17^th, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82), and Rehoboth Beach (86) volunteer fire companies were alerted for a residential structure on Woods Court off of Sloan Road near Pinewater Farms. 

While working at an initial residential structure fire on Woods Court in Harbeson, the Incident Command was notified of a second incident on the same street a few houses down involving a reported structure fire.  Incident Command assigned available apparatus to respond to the new incident location for mitigation efforts.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80, Rehoboth Beach (86) units, and Lewes (82) units as well as the Delaware State Fire Police, the Sussex County Paramedics, the Delaware State Fire Marshall and the local emergency medical services provider. 

Emergency response crews verified a fire inside the residential structure crawl space and pursued fire suppression tactics while searching and evaluating the structure.  Additionally, it was believed that a lightning strike caused this incident as well.
