Friday September, 9 2011 @ 21:40 Nature: Vehicle Accident BLS Address: 1 Driftwood Village & Oak Orchard Road – Millsboro, DE 19966 On Friday evening, September 9th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Oak Orchard Road in the vicinity of the Driftwood Village. This incident was reported via our Fire Police Captain Ray Collas while traveling on Oak Orchard Road. The incident's initial synopsis was a single vehicle (green Ford Mustang) traveling north on Oak Orchard Road in a construction zone struck numerous de-watering well points and a tree causing significant damage to the vehicle and injuring the occupant of the vehicle. Emergency response crews were requested to stabilize the vehicle and assist with patient care, if needed. Additional, attention was targeted toward the construction de-watering well points and notification of the various construction contractors to prevent water leakage issues. The Delaware State Police are investigating.
