Sunday August, 28 2011 @ approximately 5 a.m. Nature: Survey of Fire District - Oak Orchard - Riverdale – Gull Point Identified herewith are various photographs of the Indian River’s emergency response stand-by crews and area of response at approximately 5 a.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2011. The photographs are the result of surveying the following areas within the fire district: Oak Orchard; Riverdale; and Gull Point The analysis identified areas of concern with downed trees, downed utility wires, tidal flooding debris and pending high tide in approximately 2 hrs. in the Oak Orchard, Riverdale and Gull Point areas. Over night, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company responded to a few automatic fire alarm incidents; an odor investigation; and a few down trees and wires down. During some of the storm related events, many residents were without electricity, telephone and internet for approximately 4 hours.
