Saturday August, 20 2011 Nature: Vessel Testing & Demonstration Activities Location: Indian River & Rehoboth bays Address: Massey’s Landing Launch Site On Saturday afternoon, August 20th, members of the Vessel Acquisition Committee continued vessel testing and demonstration activities to evaluate the operational effectiveness of the marine unit. 80 Marine 1 was launched at the Massey’s Landing Public Boat Ramp and navigated various Indian River and Rehoboth bay waterways to evaluate the operational effectiveness of the vessel and monitor specific performance capabilities and functionalities. Illustrated herewith are various photographs of the waterways and shorelines that are customarily utilized for summertime recreational activities by the many persons that travel to the southern Delaware coast for summer fun, sun and relaxation. Also, illustrated are the photographs of the Indian River Inlet and latest construction efforts of the new Indian River Inlet Bridge Project being undertaken by the State of Delaware via the Delaware Department of Transportation.
