Morial Convention Center The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is pleased to identify that two of its Junior Firefighters have been chosen to participate in the 2011 Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Junior Olympic Games in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company requires it Junior Memberships to maintain stellar academic progress within their educational environments and encourages participation in educational extracurricular academic and athletic activities. The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company did contribute to the Delaware Wrestling Alliance (DWA) to sponsor the wrestling teams that will be representing Team Delaware Gold and Team Delaware Blue in New Orleans, LA. The DWA is committed to promoting, enhancing and developing wrestlers through educational assistance, individual and team building characteristics, moral character development, community spirit and sportsmanship. Indian River’s two Junior Members that are participating are Jacob Miller (Oak Orchard) and Chase Atkins (Long Neck).
