Nature: Multi Residential Structure Fire

Location: 32977 Shoppes At Long Neck, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday evening, April 4^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a multi-residential structure fire at the Shoppes of Long Neck.  It was reported as an electrical appliance caught fire.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engines #80-1 and #80-3 from the Long Neck facility and Ladder 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included evaluation of the electrical appliance as well as extensions into the structure and to ventilate the structure.

It appears that the water heater caught fire and was extinguished; however, there was a desire to evaluate the residential structure for extension as well as ventilating the structure of smell and smoke.

There were no reported injuries associated with the incident.
