Nature: Structure Fire
Location: 25500 Hollis Rd Harbeson, DE 19951
On Wednesday, April 3rd, the Indian River (80), Millsboro (83), Milton (85) fire companies, and Georgetown (93) EMS were alerted to assist Georgetown (77) Fire Company with a reported structure fire on Hollis Road near Harbeson. It was reported to be an outside fire that spread into other buildings and a residential manufactured home which was contained to the bathroom and bedroom areas.
Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard area and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.
Emergency response crew assignments included assistance with overhaul and repacking the fire apparatus equipment in order to be placed back in-service.
The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.
The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating.
The Blades (71) Fire Company was alerted to provide a standby assignment for Georgetown Fire Company.
