Saturday June, 4 2011 @ 07:40:51 Nature: Traffic/TransportationAcdntBLS Address: 27146 - 27174 John J Williams In front of Indian Summer Village, Millsboro, DE 19966 On Saturday morning, June 4th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a personal injury vehicle collision on John J. Williams Highway in the area of Indian Summer Village. It was reported to have a two vehicle collision with no entrapment and possible one person needing pre-hospital emergency medical attention. The incident was coordinated by Brian Morley who resides nearby. It was confirmed to have two vehicles involved, no entrapment and one needing medical attention. It was further requested to have the Sussex County Paramedics respond to the incident as well. Rescue 80 responded from the Oak Orchard facility and was requested to assist with patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization, and scene remediation associated with vehicle debris. Engine #80-5 responded from the Long Neck facility and was cancelled while responding. It appears that a maroon Toyota pick up was parked on the eastbound shoulder of the roadway while attending an adjacent yard sale and another eastbound 4 door Honda Accord, also traveling eastbound, struck the rear of the vehicle causing significant damage to both vehicles. The Delaware State Fire Police were requested to coordinate traffic patterns to continue the follow of traffic on John J. Williams Highway. The Delaware State Police are investigating.
