Wednesday June, 1 2011 Membership Recognition Event On Wednesday evening, June 1st, 2011, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company approved the Life Membership Application for James R. Wagner. James R. “Jimmy” Wagner joined the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company in July, 2000. As an active member of the volunteer fire service, Jim has been active in the company and served in various capacities over the previous years. These capacities include: company appointed, trained and elected: Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, Chief Engineer, and Board of Director. Jim has also served on the Fire Prevention Committee, Apparatus Committee, Golf Team & Golf Committee, Membership Committee, Vessel Committee, Ways & Means Committee, Accident Investigation Committee, Fundraising Committee and Board of Inquiry Member. Jim has been an asset to the fire company while diligently providing various community service initiatives with the utmost vigor and enthusiasm. Jim has coordinated many events and activities to boost membership morale and has performed dedicated service “behind the scenes” for many other corporate initiatives and company functions. Jim’s dedication to the volunteer fire service has included many countless hours of assistance, guidance, leadership and devotion to the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company for he now resides and parlayed approximately 11 years of actively participating service. This nominee already has 45 years of volunteer firefighting service in previous communities and participates in activities of this company on a regular day-to-day basis. Jim has been a top emergency incident responder for the entire tenure of his membership within the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company with at least greater than 95% alarm attendance. Pursuant to the BY-LAWS, Jim is eligible for Life Membership as having provided faithful services to the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company. Jim’s commitment to the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company has been beneficial to our corporate entity and therefore, I submit this nomination for Life Member.
