Thursday April, 21 2011 @ 07:37:37 Nature: Washdown (Fuel Spill) Address: Mount Joy Rd & John J Williams Millsboro, DE 19966 On Thursday morning, April 21st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a wash down assignment to mitigate the results of property damage vehicle accident. It appears that two vehicles collided at the intersection of John J. Williams Highway, Mount Joy Road and Oak Orchard Road – one was a tan Buick LaSabre and red Jeep. Both vehicles suffered front-end damage causing leakage of fluid from the vehicle into the intersection. The Delaware State Fire Police and emergency response personnel assistance with traffic control measures for the duration of the incident. The Delaware State Police are investigating the incident. State Police say a car driven by 46 year old Deana Lynch of Georgetown ran a red light and collided with a Jeep driven by a Lewes man traveling on Route 24. Cinnamon-51 Lewes Veh-2 2011 Jeep Wrangler Resume: Delaware State Police Thursday morning investigated a two vehicle crash at the intersection of SR 24 John J. Williams Highway and Mount Joy Road Millsboro Delaware. The crash occurred around 7:23 a.m. when a 2000 Buick LaSabre driven by Deana Lynch of Georgetown disregarded a Red light. Lynch who was traveling southbound on Mount Joy Road collided at the intersection with a 2011 Jeep Wrangler driven by Scott C. Cinnamon of Lewes. Cinnamon was traveling westbound on SR 24 prior to the crash. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident. State Police issued Lynch a citation for Failure to Stop at a Stop Light then released her. ——————————— 8 a.m.: We just got word of a two car accident at the intersection of Route 24 and Mount Joy Road near the Nanticoke Indian Museum. A jeep and a sedan may have been involved. Delaware State Police are on the scene. You may expect some minor delays if you’re heading through that area right now.
