Nature: Fire Hydrant / Truck Filling Training Exercise Address: Chief’s Road – Riverdale Indian River's First Assistant Hayden Klingler spent a few minutes with newly inducted volunteer firefighters to demonstrate and highlight the importance of fire hydrant usage and apparatus filling tasks. Firefighters play an important role in protecting the community. All firefighters, professional and volunteer, go through extensive training assignments. This exercise illustrates the mechanics of flushing a fire hydrant and filling an engine with water.
