Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Holllymount Road, Lewes, DE 19958

On Friday evening, December 14^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway at the intersection of Holly Mount Road.  It was reported to be a multi vehicle collision.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Command 80, Engines #80-1 and 80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assistance with patient stabilization if needed, traffic control, scene mitigation as well as the fluid and debris recovery.

It appears that a Mercedes Benz CLK430 was struck from behind by a Toyota Avalon that then collided with a Ford Fusion while traveling on John J. Williams Highway near the Hollymount Road intersection.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic concerns and assisted with traffic control.
