Nature: Vehicle Accident
Location: Long Neck Rd and Bayshore Drive, Millsboro, DE 19966
On Sunday afternoon, December 2nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Rd at Bayshore Drive. It was reported to be a single vehicle incident.
Emergency response units from Indian River include Engine #80-1 and Incident Command 80 as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.
Emergency response crew assignments included incident mitigation, vehicle stabilization if needed, traffic control, if needed.
According to the driver, the vehicle had gone off the roadway into the wet grass and the “steering assist” the vehicle is equipped with corrected the vehicle as the driver tried to as well, the operator not being familiar with the new vehicle caused it to go further off the roadway.
All occupants refused medical attention.
The Delaware State Police are investigating.
