Monday January, 17 2011 MEMBERSHIP MILESTONE RECOGNITION The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is pleased to announce the specific milestones achieved by its volunteers over the past calendar year. Indian River intends to highlight these specific volunteer accomplishments and the dedication of the members within the volunteer fire service. This volunteer has contributed endless amounts of assistance, guidance and devotion to the communities of Oak Orchard, Riverdale, Long Neck and surrounding vicinities during times of need. The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company wishes to acknowledge the contribution of N. Jean Moore who has reached her 40th anniversary milestone within the Ladies Auxiliary of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company in January, 2011. Jean joined the Ladies Auxiliary of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company in 1972 with two years prior service in 1967-1968. Jean was awarded Life Membership in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. in 1996. Jean has served President, Vice President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, and chairperson of every committee. Jean has continued her volunteerism within the fire company and currently has been recognized as the longest serving member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Indian River’s corporate history. Over the years, Jean credits her accomplishments as being able to fulfill and finalize the kitchen facility renovations; the implementation of a Junior Membership Program for the Ladies Auxiliary; and the successfulness of the Easter candy sales; breakfast and dinner events, concessions, etc. Jean has been a hard-working and dedicated volunteer who takes pride in mentoring those who aspire to help the community’s organization. Jean was presented with a proclamation from State Representative John C. Atkins and the Delaware House of Representatives as well as a Delaware State Senate Tribute provided on behalf George H. Bunting, Jr.
