Thursday December, 30 2010 @ 06:58:44 Nature: Odor Investigation Address: 25862 Sandpiper Court, Millsboro, DE 19966 On Thursday morning, December 30th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an odor investigation on Sandpiper Court, Bayshore development off of Long Neck Road. Upon arrival of Engine #80-3, the crew was assigned to evaluate the interior of the residential structure for odor and gas meter reading evaluations. Engine #80-1 was assigned to evaluate the attached garage for potential source of the odor. It was immediately determined to be gasoline odors from the vehicle which was recently fueled. Both crews coordinated ventilation and removal of the vehicle from the structure and turned over the information to the residential owner.
