Nature: Vehicle Accident

On Monday afternoon, August 27^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Bay Farm Road at the shopping center entranceway.  It was reported to be a two-vehicle collision.

Emergency response apparatus from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Long Neck facility and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response unit assignments included vehicle stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery, and overall incident mitigation.

It appears at the green Jeep Wrangler was attempting to exit the shopping center and a white Ford Pick-Up with landscaping trailer was traveling down Bay Farm Road.  The Jeep entered the roadway and the pick-up struck the driver’s side of the Jeep causing damage.

The Delaware State Fire Police closed this segment of Bay Farm Road pending arrival of the Delaware State Police.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
