Wednesday November, 24 2010 Nature: Gas Pad – Firefighter Training Address: Delaware State Fire School – Sussex Training Facility On Wednesday, November 24, 2010, firefighters from the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company participated in gas pad firefighting evolutions. This training gives probationary and new firefighters a chance to be instructed in firefighting methods and a chance to practice these methods. Other training initiatives that were coordinated with this event were: hose handling, fire hydrant operations, pump operator training, etc.
