Tuesday November, 23 2010 @ 11:37:22 Nature: Traffic / Transportation Acdnt BLS Address: John J Williams Hwy & Autumn Millsboro, DE 19966 On Tuesday, November 23rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a traffic accident at the intersection of John J. Williams Highway, Bay Farm and Autumn Roads. It was reported to be a three vehicle collision with injuries. Upon arrival of Indian River’s Duty Officer, Charles Marshall, it was determined to have three eastbound vehicles involved in a chain reaction type collision while stopped at the traffic light on John J. Williams Highway. Two vehicles were occupied by persons that needed additional medical evaluation and were transported to nearby hospitals via the local emergency service provider. Arriving emergency response apparatus were assigned to perform vehicle stabilization, assist with patient stabilization and packaging in preparation for transportation to nearby medical facilities. The Delaware State Fire Police were required to perform traffic control measures while the accident scene was being investigated and cleared up. The Delaware State Police are investigating.
