Wednesday November, 24 2010 @ 07:57:55 Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm Address: 30874 Crepe Myrtle Dr., Unit 9, Millsboro, DE 19966 On Monday morning, November 24th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm situation at 30874 Crepe Myrtle Drive in the Gull Point development. Fire Police Officer Roland Walker, Jr. arrived on-scene and identified that no visible signs of smoke or fire were present; however, audible alarms could be heard from the exterior of the residence. You could hear a barking dog inside the residential location as well. The residential location did have a secured Knox Box which would permit immediate access. After gaining access, evaluating the interior, and checking with a thermal imaging camera, it was determined to be a faulty detector at the location. Engines #80-1 and 80-3 were permitted to return to their respective stations.
