Tuesday November, 16 2010 @ 23:18:51 Nature: Structure Fire Address: 35454 Knoll Way Millsboro, DE 19966 On Tuesday evening, November 16th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for structure fire on Knoll Way, Mariner’s Cove off of Long Neck Road. It was reported by a neighbor and volunteer firefighter from Marcus Hook that an audio alarm was present; however, all utilities and services had been disconnected earlier in the day. Duty Officer Eric Ruckle requested that Engine #80-3 evaluate the perimeter of the residence and Engine #80-1 was to ascertain entry into the residential structure with forcible entry methods. Once inside the residential structure, it was determined to an audible alarm due to low batteries as a result of hard-wired power source being discontinued.
