Nature: Ladies Auxiliary Life Member & Past President – Louise Mitchell Passes

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is saddened to announce that Ladies Auxiliary Life Member and Past President M. Louise Mitchell has passed away. 

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company wishes to offer its condolences and deepest gratitude to the families and loved ones of Louise Mitchell.  We wish to offer the Mitchell Family and extended families our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Louise was joined the Ladies Auxiliary in September 1970 and was awarded a Life Membership in January 1991.

Louise’s tenure with the Ladies Auxiliary allowed her to serve multiple terms as Presidents of the Ladies Auxiliary for the following years: (1)  1979-1981; (2)  1983-1985; and (3) 1987-1991 and assisted in many capacities such as Vice President (3 terms), Assistant Treasurer (4 terms), Treasurer (7 terms), and Secretary (2 terms).   Ancillary committee duties included:  Auditor, Inventory, Publicity, Kitchen, and Parades & Special Events.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel at 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE  19958 where friends may call beginning at 2 p.  Burial will follow the services at the Millsboro Cemetery in Millsboro, Delaware.

Memorial contributions may be made in Louise's name to the charity of your choice.
