Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: N/O Intersection of Cannon Rd and Mount Joy Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Saturday, July 21^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Cannon Road just off of Mount Joy Road.  It was reported to be single vehicle incident involving a telephone pole.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Rescue 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assistance with patient stabilization if needed, traffic control, and incident mitigation.

It appears that a Cadillac compact sedan was travel on Cannon Road near Mount Joy Road and lost control striking a utility pole on the driver’s side rear of the sedan.  Significant damage to the Cadillac was encountered.

The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
