Indian River’s New Marine 80 The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company has taken final delivery of its new marine vessel – a 2010 SVI 26’ ft. emergency response unit constructed with 5052 H32 alloy duty marine grade aluminum to assist with corrosion resistance. The members have spent months of research, analysis and design work into this vessel. This unit includes the following amenities: (1) Vessel – 26’ foot unit with 2’ rear diving deck as well as ability to lower the front gate which is an electrically operated bow landing craft gate that is designed for dive and rescue operations; • This unit can be utilized to transport people, manpower, equipment, and ATVs, etc. • This unit is design with a perimeter rubber rub rail and is self bailing • This unit can seat up to ten (10) persons. • This unit hosts a 12’ x 5’ working deck space (2) Stainless steel water system is designed to supply land based fire apparatus with a 5" Storz discharge, or fight boat or house fires with the electric actuated monitor or hand lines. • The boat is fully maneuverable while flowing water from the monitor. (3) Engine is a Kodiak Marine 396 hp (4) Radio communications include: a. 800 megahertz radio communication device; b. 400 megahertz radio communication device c. Marine radio communication device; d. David Clark communication headset devices; (5) Electronics includes: a. Garmin GPS and Radar Units b. FLIR Infrared Camera c.
