Nature: Residential Alarm Sounding

Location: 32524 Mariners Way Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday, July 13^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a residential automatic fire alarm sounding on Mariner’s Way in the Herring Creek Estates development off of John J. Williams Highway.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility, Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, and the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments were to evaluate and isolate the incident.

Upon arrival of emergency response apparatus, there were no audible or visible alarms present and an exterior evaluation yielded no indication of an operational issue inside.  We were unable to make contact with any person inside the residence; however, the neighbors were helpful.

All units cleared and returned to quarters.
