Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Hollymount Rd and John J Williams Hwy. Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday, July 10^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Jhn J. Williams Highway at the intersection of Hollymount Road.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 and Brush #80-0 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery, and incident mitigation.

It appears that a green Ford Thunderbird and struck from behind by a tractor trailer carrying a load of lumber.

There were no patients transferred to nearby medical facilities.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
