Thursday June, 24 2010 @ 13:03:56 Nature: Traffic/TransportationAcdntBLS Location: Wilmington Trust (80) Address: 31860 Long Neck Rd Millsboro, DE 19966 On Thursday afternoon, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a personal injury vehicle collision at the Wilmington Trust Branch Office near the intersection of John J. Williams Highway and Long Neck Road. It was reported to have a two vehicle collision with possible hindrance from accessing the patient in one vehicle. Emergency response crews identified that a red Chevrolet Camaro was attempting to exit the banking institution parking facilities and was hit on the driver’s side by a silver Ford Escort sedan. It appears that both vehicles suffered minor damage; however, the driver’s side door was jammed closed on the Camaro. Emergency response crews provided vehicle stabilization measures, gained access to the vehicle’s occupant compartment with Hurst tools and assisted with patient’s extrication measures. The local emergency medical services provider transported to nearby medical facilities for additional observations. The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control assistance while the Delaware State Police are investigating.
