Story
Monday June, 14 2010 @ 00:39:03 Nature: Alarm Company - Automatic Fire Alarm Address: 32980 Shoppes @ Long Neck Blvd, Lingo Creek Apartments, Millsboro, DE 19966 Early Monday morning on June 14th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm (AFA) incident at the Lingo Creek Apartments. Duty Officer Joseph H. Thompson, III, identified that a water flow condition was prevalent and requested the assistance of emergency response crews from Engine #80-3 to evaluate and investigate. Interior searches of the residential structures as well as monitoring of the pump house areas were coordinated. All residents of the multi-story, multi-unit structure were evacuated during the investigation phase of the incident. It appears that an apparent malfunction in the pump house caused the activation of the automatic fire alarm and leakage of water in the pump house area. The water flow situation did not extend into any residential unit or sprinkler activations within any residential unit of the complex.
