Friday, February, 5 2010 thru Wednesday February, 10 2010 Nature: Inclement Weather Responses – Stand-by Crews at Stations Location: Indian River Fire District The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company has provided 24 hour around-the-clock inclement weather emergency response crews since Friday, February 5 for the weather events named February Fury and other acronyms. These emergency standby crews have responded to all request for assistance within the fire district of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company which have included but not limited to: medical assist calls, CPR emergency incidents, stranded motorists, check the welfare inquiries, gas leaks, wires down, wires arching, fallen tree and limbs with roadway obstructions, public assist incidents, snow removal requests, fall trees into power lines, structure fires, and many others activities. In all, as of Wednesday evening, February 10, the amount of incident responses was identified as forty-five (45) requests for ancillary services.
